My name is Matúš Lazar, but I am also known online as Matus
Laser or, in short, M. Laser. I have been a history communicator for about a
decade now, primarily communicating history on my YouTube channel called M.

I have given talks on Public History and History Communication at the American
Public History Conference and the Universities of Oxford and Cambridge. I hold
multiple history degrees, including a Master's in Medieval History from Oxford,
and I am currently doing a PhD in Public History at the University of Cambridge.

I tremendously enjoy history communication and history in
general, and I find great happiness in being able to communicate history to
others. I also like to hope that I have, over the years, gotten a following of
people who appreciate my work and who like what I do. This merch store was
partially inspired by wanting to create something physical for those people to wear
as a thank-you for their support. It was also, I must confess, partially inspired
by my own vanity, wanting to wear my own merch because I genuinely like my
designs.

However, in the end, this merch is primarily another way to
be able to support myself financially while still providing a nice physical
product for people to use and wear. Every dollar made on this merch goes straight
into my ability to communicate more history and do something I love doing.
